Building Cultural Capability within Educators with Sally Lawrence and TAFE QLD

Do you have aspirations to be a Lead Teacher or Highly Accomplished Teacher? Let me support you to demonstrate your proficiency for AITSL 1.4 and 2.4. Join me for 6 hours of professional learning and build your cultural capability.

Build on and enhance your Cultural Capability and Professional Practice to better include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures within your teaching of the Australian Curriculum. This full-day Professional Learning experience will explicitly offer support and advice to assist Educators to feel more confident, capable and culturally aware.

Using the ‘Building Cultural Capability Framework’, all participants will have time to personally reflect on their own cultural backgrounds, life experiences, bias and knowledge to identify opportunities that will enhance their understanding of First Nations Australians. Educators will learn how to embed 8 ways of Aboriginal Learning and Uncle Ernie Grants Holistic Framework within their Pedagogical practice to confidently demonstrate 1.4 and 2.4 of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers (AITSL).

This Professional Learning experience is a must for any Educator who wants to build their confidence to embed and engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures. Join us and be encouraged within a supportive and safe environment to build your cultural capability.
