The Traditional Owners of the World Heritage-listed K’gari, the Butchulla People have invited you to participate in a cultural exchange and knowledge-sharing experience that will further deepen your connections with people and place.
Guided by the 3 Butchulla Lores for K’gari you will be welcomed to the sacred Women’s site at Wanggoolba Creek at Central Station where you will learn language on the day and pledge and promise to adhere to them while visiting our homeland island. This customised program incorporates the many layers of Butchulla traditional and contemporary knowledge and know-how, lifestyles, and livelihoods which have and continue to guide us to look after and successfully manage country, culture, and community.
